You all know about my obsession with Chloé: a french fashion maison founded in the 50’s whose effortless, bohemian chic, cool-girl style is inspiring to say the least. The F/W 2017 campaign was Clare Waight Keller’s last season as creative director and it was everything a Chloé girl could hope for. A 70’s grunge vibe in the best fall colours was paired with fabulous Western-inspired Mary Janes that I just couldn’t resist.
Oversized sweaters (actually oversized everything) are one of my go-to pieces. They can be unexpectedly paired with a dramatic skirt or a fun pair of shoes for an easy-going yet chic, I-woke-up-like-this look. And isn’t that we’re all really striving for anyway?
Alright, let’s talk about the shoes. I’m loving mustard everything this Fall. I just think it’s a must-have colour for every Fall season, not just 2017. I’m also loving Western-everything and these shoes, with their wood block heels, definitely give off that vibe. I usually opt for black shoes, especially if I’m splurging on a luxury pair. Now that I’ve racked up black everything from pointed toe pumps to over-the-knee boots, I thought it was about time that I tried a little colour. Yes, shoes should be practical. But they can also be so, so, so fun (see epiphany about expensive shoes here). It might be time for you to give your shoe collection another look, too. Are stuck in a basic black rut?
