Brooklyn, Brooklyn, Take Me In

Outfit details:

Club Monaco blouse (similar here), Club Monaco midi skirt (similar here), Gucci Lady Web bag, Zara suede platform heels (similar here), Dior J’adior earrings, Dior Mohotani sunglasses (similar here)

One of my favourite songs of all time is “I and love and you” by The Avett Brothers in which he sings “Brooklyn, Brooklyn, take me in”. I’ve been belting out this song in the car for years, but had never actually been to Brooklyn. So you can imagine my excitement as we took the New York subway across the East River.

As you can see, it was the windiest day ever. But that didn’t stop my Mom and I from seeing all the sights. We first found this spot in DUMBO to snap a few shots by the Manhattan bridge. We then headed to Almondine Bakery for a tasty treat before making the trek over the Brooklyn Bridge. After my life-long love affair with The Big Apple, I finally got to check this off my bucket list.

I wore my signature blouse and midi skirt combo, both from Club Monaco, with the Gucci bag I picked up at a consignment store in Glasgow.

Have you crossed anything off of your bucket list lately?

Thanks Agness! Sadly, for the most part we didn’t manage to avoid them. There are just so many people in NY. My advice is to go really early to any destination you’re dying to get a crow-free photo of.
