Parisienne in Glasgow

Outfit details:

Club Monaco ruffle blouse, Forever21 red midi skirt (similar here and here), Zara suede platform shoes (similar here), Chloé silk scarf, Chloé Jane tassel bag (similar here), Dior Mohotani sunglasses

The first city we went to in Scotland was Glasgow and we had an absolute blast. It’s such a fun city, (with the most gorgeous university) as evidenced by the pranksters who are constantly placing something ridiculous on the head of the Duke of Wellington statue. On our first day he was wearing a fluffy unicorn hat and on our second, his signature traffic cone. Glasgow was also a thousand times windier than I expected so I shot this look one night after wearing warm pants all day. #realtalk Regardless, the real hero piece of this look is the classic and understated black silk scarf. I bought this one from Chloé a year ago, inspired by their Fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection. I was and still am seriously obsessed with this collection. Clare Waight Keller is a visionary and I’m sad to see her leave Chloé. To me the collection is the epitome of the “Chloé girl” and of parisienne chic in general (and right now the scarf is on sale!). All of this to say that you too can look Parisienne wherever you go- simply pair a silk scarf with a crisp blouse and your favourite pair of jeans, or a dramatic midi dress, or in this case a feminine blouse and bold skirt.

Do you have any hero pieces that manage to spruce up any look? I’d love to hear about them!

You look lovely! And I love your dior sunnies! You look like a regular chloe girl! Totally.
ummmm – I have lots of pieces that I use to spruce up a standard outfit.
Because it is winter here – a really nice coat over anything, even your gym wear, makes you feel a bit more put together! And of course I have my designer bags.
Another thing I like doing is adding a really great pair of heels to a standard top and jeans.
Makes you feel a bit more chic!

Thanks so much Kiri! I totally agree- a good coat and a good pair of heels are essential accessories! Thanks for sharing 🙂
