I absolutely love coming home for the holidays. I love spending time with family, visiting my favourite restaurants, and taking a much-needed break. But I have to admit that I also love coming home because it’s so warm here! Frolicking around without a coat? Count me in.
My parents and I headed out for lunch at Taloola Cafe and I wore my new tweed blazer that I picked up at Value Village with old favourites- my green Zara blouse and green faux leather midi skirt. You already know how much I love shopping at vintage and second-hand stores, so you can imagine how excited I was to find this gem! I was inspired by Chanel’s beautiful tweed suits and look forward to the day I pick one up myself.
I’ve never been one for a monochromatic look, but bloggers like Atlantic-Pacific‘s Blair pulls it off so beautifully, I thought I’d give it a try. More than anything I think 2017 will be a year of trying new things- especially since I’ll be leaving medicine to begin my Ph.D. So expect some new and exciting looks during this fabulous new year!
I added a pop of colour with my Steve Madden blue suede shoes (I’ve been seeing these shoes everywhere for months!). I’m a big fan of Steve Madden footwear. Unlike other brands (like Aldo), the shoes are good quality and won’t fall apart after a few wears.
What do you think of the monochromatic look? Too matchy-matchy or just right?
