Venice by Gondola

Outfit details:

Zara off-the-shoulder stripped dress, Michael Kors Gabriella straw bag (in brown here), Forever21 boat hat (more fashionable here), Aldo leather choker

Riding a gondola through Venice while a man in a stripped shirt sang in Italian always seemed like the perfect way to spend a summer day.

I wore this season’s most popular trend: off-the-shoulder. This blue stripped dress kept me cool under the Italian sun. I paired it with my favourite boat hat, leather choker, and Michael Kors straw cross body bag.

Later on during the day I decided to take a water taxi back to the hotel because my feet were absolutely killing me. There I was, standing on the side of this boat traveling down the Grand Canal under the Rialto Bridge. Picture perfect. My hat was fluttering in the wind and I held it down with one hand while I snapped pictures with the other. That is, until a gust of wind came and lifted my hat off of my head! I watched it float down onto the Canal where it was promptly run over by another water taxi. Sadly, I had lost my trusty boat hat.

Despite losing my hat on the Grand Canal, Venice by gondola was just as stunning as I had hoped.

The photos of the water taxi were so nice. I would take one, for sure. Too bad about your hat. I can just picture it flying away!
