Raisin Ranger Cookies

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Quaker® cooking oats
  • 1 cup Harvest Crunch® cereal
  • 1 cup raisins

Warning: These cookies are not for the faint of heart. They’re filled with all the good stuff: sugar, cereal, and raisins. What more could you ever want? Turn your oven up to 375ºF and let’s get started!

Mix all of the ingredients up to (not including) the flour in one bowl (this is your wet bowl).

Then, mix all of the dry ingredients together, excluding the raisins. You can use whatever cereal you have in your cupboard, but I love using Harvest Crunch® in this recipe!

Combine the two to get a sugary, gooey, delicious mess. Add the raisins!

Place the cookie dough in round balls on your baking sheets. Have you ever seen cuter cookie dough balls? I think not.

Cook for 9 minutes.

They should look like this (yum!). Bon appétit!

Makes 16 delicious cookies.
