When I was 17 I had the chance to go to Ecuador with Me to We. The experience changed my life. It was like a whole new world my eyes had been opened up to. The people, the food, the landscapes, they were all stunning. I’ve been wanting to go back ever since. One of my bucket list items was to visit Machu Picchu and I’m so thankful that I got to do this with my Dad. We did the Explore Machu Picchu tour with G adventures and traveled from Lima to Cusco, through some of the most spectacular Incan ruins to hike Machu Picchu before returning to Lima.
Up until recently I was a “wash my face with Neutrogena Clean & Clear and call it a day” kind of girl. I had mild acne as a teen with easily-scarred combination skin. I never moisturized and wondered why my skin was tight and oily. Despite aestheticians telling me over and over again that I needed to start cleansing more gently and moisturizing my dehydrated skin, I resisted. That all changed when I was introduced to Aesop six months ago. I am now the kind of girl with a 10-step morning and nighttime skincare routine that involves multiple moisturizers. I’ve seen a dramatic change in my skin and thought I’d share with you my absolute favourite products.
I was told that the thing to eat in San Diego is Mexican food. Being only 20 minutes from the Mexican border, this Californian paradise boasts some of the best tacos, burritos, and churros around. With almost 2,000 Google reviews attesting to the deliciousness of their worth-the-wait food I knew I had to give it a try. We ended up waiting about an hour and a half outside of the aptly-named The Taco Stand in La Jolla for the best tacos I have ever had in my life. With unlimited sauce refills and giant portions (look at that guac!), this is a bucket list destination. Buen provecho, indeed.
